Welcome to the Warrior Gateway Project blog!
Over the next few months, we’ll be using this space to introduce you to all aspects of the exciting Warrior Gateway Project. We will detail the various features of the site, post about our progress as we build it, and give you a chance to leave feedback and recommendations.
The Warrior Gateway Project began in late 2008 as a response to public recognition of the need for a national clearinghouse of resources for wounded veterans.
At the same time, a request and subsequent MOU was issued from the Department of Veterans Affairs to the Veterans Innovation Center (VIC) to devise a system to maximize and optimize the aggregate NGO investments now focused on the military community.
This all came together as the Warrior Gateway Project. Led by BENS and the VIC, the Warrior Gateway is an internet portal that will connect service members and their families to the services they need to improve their quality of life and successfully reintegrate into their communities.
