Today we will be attending the launch of the White House’s National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyberspace (NSTIC). Warrior Gateway was approached by the Defense Manpower Data Center at the Department of Defense to be one of several private sector organizations to implement Common Access Card authentication, commonly known as CAC, as part of this launch. Leveraging our innovative technology platform, powered by MarkLogic, we were able to quickly implement CAC authentication into WarriorGateway.org and will be demo-ing it today.
We are proud to be part of this launch and look forward to collaborating with the other private sector organizations who will be demonstrating their capabilities as well. This launch will take place today at 11:30am when the White House releases the NSTIC Strategy on April 15 at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C. The video stream can be found here.
On June 4, 2010, the Fleet and Family Support Office, NNMC in partnership with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the National Chamber Foundation will host a career fair at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda. Our goal is to connect transitioning wounded, ill, and injured veterans with the best of employers. As a valued member of the Chamber, we invite you to participate in what will be an ideal place to meet and network with (and thank!) our country’s heroes.
The career fair will include a line-up of leading employers in various industries looking to fill a wide range of positions from entry-level to management. This would be an excellent opportunity for you to meet potential and well-deserving candidates for employment. Service members from Bethesda, Walter Reed, Ft. Belvoir, Ft. Meade, and Quantico will be participating in the event.
Last week we headed over to Walter Reed to attend the US Chamber of Commerce’s Warrior Transition Career Fair. It was a great event and we were excited to speak with a number of employers, wounded warriors, veterans, and of course their families.
Here is a good article by the Chamber summarizing the event.
Take a look at some pictures we snapped at the career fair:
Many thanks to the Chamber of Commerce for facilitating a great event!
Below is the presentation that we gave on November 12th at the US Chamber’s event: “Business Steps Up – Hiring Our Heroes” and subsequently on November 14th in Las Vegas to a group of wounded warriors and their families as part of the American Airlines Yellow Ribbon Express.
It’s slides only with no audio (sorry) but gives you a good sense of the project messages to date.
Yesterday we presented at the ‘Business Steps Up: Hiring our Heroes’ event hosted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. It was a very exciting event, with a number of important speakers, including Dan Senor, Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis, and Secretary of VA Eric Shinseki. We presented on the Warrior Gateway as well, with an introduction by Gen. Boyd and a presentation on the project by Devin.
